Sam in Arkansas before heading to Missouri

Of course he got a moment to see the Wal-Mart museum. This gives a little feel for what Sam Walton was really like.

Sam really liked racing and crashing the remote control cars into each other. These cars have lasted over three years. They "take the crashing and keep on running."

When Sam was asked what was the thing he enjoyed the most . . . without any a moment's pause he said "learning how to make arrowheads. His time with the owner and a "professional arrowsmith" were so special to watch. It was fun to watch him time after time when he had a few minutes chipping away on a piece of flint to make it into an arrowhead. Who would have thought that a boy this young would sit on the polished hardwood floors and listen to every narration at every station in the museum.

Sam just before his Dad picked him up and took him to Iowa. We were smiling because wh had enjoyed such a wonderful week together. But we were also sad becasue we would soon be saying goodby.

Looks like you guys had fun racing the remote control cars. I know Sam enjoyed learning to make arrowheads. Thanks for teaching him about Native American culture.
